Duration: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger looking for an amazing opportunity to work within a very well established company based in Verwood?

Our client is looking for a highly organised and dedicated individual to ensure the accurate coding and processing of invoices to aid accurate monthly management accounts. You will assist with the daily management of the Purchase Ledger function, dealing with supplier queries and processing payment runs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for ensuring all invoices are approved and accurately coded, meeting the posting deadlines required.
* Administer supplier payments on a weekly/monthly/ad-hoc basis, ensuring accurate completion of cheque runs.
* Investigate and resolve, to a satisfactory conclusion, all accounting issues relating to your remit liaising with suppliers, internal departments and branches where appropriate.
* Ensure the Suppliers ledger and associated documents are correctly retained and retrievable.
* Carry out month end supplier reconciliations as required.
* Maintain petty cash and love to shop vouchers providing a monthly reconciliation to be provided to the Transactional Accountant in line with set timescales.
* Assist with commission payments and FairFX requested on a monthly basis
* Assist with the processing of credit repair transactions
* Provide support to the Transaction Accountant, as and when required.
* Support with ad-hoc Finance projects as required. This will include investigation and research, proposal writing, process documentation, communication, implementation and monitoring off success
* Seek to improve control, mitigate risk and increase efficiencies in all elements of the role

Skills and Experience Required:

* 5 x GCSEs to include Maths and English
* AAT Qualified
* Experience of Accountancy
* Proficient in at least one Accountancy system.
* Thorough in approach, practised in exercising diligence and precision
* Accomplished in an environment that requires a high level of integrity.
* Proficient in MS Office
* Knowledge of Exchequer a bonus
* Strong communication skills
* Metrics production
* Proactive in approach
